International regulation courts are 91
feet long by 13 feet wide, but a court 60' by 10' is flexible enough for
all levels of play.
Side and back walls should be constructed of wood,
preferably pressure-treated wood supported by posts or bolted to
concrete walls to provide resilience.
The surface should be relatively smooth and
level. A hard-packed surface can be accomplished with a mixture of
clay and oyster shell with a topping of oyster shell flour; limestone;
brick dust; decomposed granite or other suitable material.
